Sensor Location and Mounting

Proper location of the toxic gas sensor is essential to the operation of the gas detector.  Location will either result in rapid alarming of hazardous toxic gas or low oxygen levels or it can delay or fail to warn of a hazardous condition.

Correct installation of the sensor depends mostly on what type of gas the detector is monitoring the air for.  If the gas is heavier than air, then the sensor should be placed closer to the floor and vice versa for gases which are lighter than air.
